The most anticipated season for wine lovers has arrived in the heart of the Alentejo. From February to June, and again from September to December, the vineyards awaken, the producers open their doors, and the landscape reveals its quiet, timeless beauty. It is in this atmosphere that the Exclusive and Private Wine Tours by Burrico D’Orada come to life — experiences crafted with soul, intention, and a deep respect for Portuguese terroir.
Wine, Territory & People: The Essence of Our Tours
Each tour is led by Rita — 50 years old, Certified Tourism Driver since 2010, wine enthusiast, DWSET, tourism manager and travel consultant. Born in Lisbon, daughter of an Alentejo father, and living in the Baixo Alentejo since 2020, she knows every road, every story, and every producer as if she were introducing her own home.
There is no excessive formality here. Instead, you’ll find authenticity, warmth, meaningful conversations, and the art of welcoming with heart and soul. We visit boutique and medium‑sized high‑quality producers in Estremoz, Borba, Vidigueira, Moura, Serpa, Beja, always far from crowded routes.

What Makes These Tours Unique
Genuine producers, far from mass tourism
Slow pace, time to talk and learn
Authentic culture, gastronomy and landscapes
Professional and safe driving
Intimate, personalised experiences
Here, every glass tells a story. Every producer welcomes you as a friend. And every kilometre opens into an Alentejo that still breathes slowly, generously, inviting you to discover it with the calm of those who know there is no need to rush.
These tours are crafted for travellers who seek what is real: the warmth of a family welcome, the intimacy of small producers, the serenity of landscapes that teach us to pause. Whether you join us for a single day or choose to stay in our home, the experience remains exclusive yet familiar — a quiet luxury rooted in authenticity, not performance.
Here, we learn to listen to the silence. To taste wines guided by the hands that make them, with devotion and a kind of gentle pride. No queues, no staged moments, no hurried selfies or tuk‑tuks. Just the true essence of a land that reveals itself slowly, like a secret shared only with those who arrive with an open heart.
And this year of 2026, as Baixo Alentejo celebrates its title as European Wine City, the invitation becomes even deeper: to savour, to explore, to wander with intention, discovering a region still untouched by haste — a place where time expands and every encounter feels meaningful.
_ Bem vindo, welcome, in my Alentejo!
