Discover the Fall Season in Portugal



Dear Friends,


Fall is finally here. Many of you are sad because Summer has closed the door, but to be honest, I do love this time of the year. And to be more truthful, this is also the best time to travel and discover new destinations with more ease, stress free and comforting food.

Portugal is endlessly reach in Gastronomy, Wines and Landscapes. The same purity and freshness of ingredients, terroir and sceneries are easily found, especially when one decides to escape the booming city-capitals and discover the inn-land for 1, 2 or more days.

It´s amazing to realize that after 1 or 2 hours driving everything is peaceful, genuine and appealing…The golden colors that slowly paint the endless fields of Vineyards, the Olive-Trees with its wide branches already packed with Olives, ready for the taking any time soon, the fresh air filled with pureness and helping you to understand that there is more life beyond the urban and cement walls of the cities.

Now it’s the best season to taste and appreciate unique Wines in many of our regions. As for me, I can take U easily to Colares, Bucelas, Alenquer, Cadaval, Lourinhã, Azeitão, Arrábida, Arraiolos, Évora, Portalegre, Castelo de Vide, Marvão, Estremoz, Vila-Viçosa Redondo, Monsaraz, Vidigueira, Moura, Beja, Fátima, Batalha, Alcobaça, Óbidos, Nazaré, Mafra, Ericeira and more... Perhaps even for a peaceful boat ride at our unique Alqueva Great Lake or to an Alentejo Cooking Workshop at a Family Wine-Estate, Wine-Tastings at Historical Estates, a 2 or 4 Days Touring with Lodging in Alentejo, or if only looking for a genuine break, to a different Lunch - 40 minutes outside of Lisbon, with a Portuguese Family at their home!...

Everything is possible and during this Fall Season, you name it, we´ll make it happen!

But do not book if looking for a day in the city, we only take our Guests to embrace Uniqueness, Quietness and Authenticity. And now, it´s time to savor new flavors, packed with a comfort embrace of inner joy. While here, try our Fresh Ocean Fish & Seafood, but also Cured-Pork Meats, Cheeses, Black-Pork or Lamb Dishes, Sweet guilty pleasures hidden in our Desserts dating centuries back to our ancient Convents, where wise Nuns toiled as Unique Pastry Artisans, taste our Fresh Herbs widely used in so many of our Dishes and Liqueurs – Coriander, Pennyroyal, Thyme, Rosemary, Parsley , or a simple glass of wine. There´s a lot to do, but with time and a smile in your heart.

And the best is to realize that our Food and Wines are a perfect result of this wonderful combination of Aromas and Ingredients – Fragrant, Flavorful and out of this world. For each region you visit in this country you will find different flavors, idyllic sceneries, unique Monuments, full-bodied nectars, centuries of History waiting to be unveiled and tasted.

This is the season, this is the right time to come with me for 1, 2 or even 4 Days to see beyond the Travel Guide Books, and join your Portuguese Friend, ready to take you to the essence of our land.
